Privacy Policy
In short. Everything your child does in KU Glow — their jobs, their stars, their progress in the games — is stored only on your device and is never sent anywhere. We do not ask for a name, an email address, or an account. There are no advertisements and no in-app purchases.
One small technical request does leave the device: the app checks which mini-games are currently enabled, so that we can withdraw a game remotely if we find a serious defect in it. That request carries no information about you or your child. Opening this page or the support page inside the app also fetches it from our website, which we do not log.
1. Who we are
KU Glow is an iOS application for practising early maths and keeping a simple chore chart. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with information.

2. Information stored on your device
The following is written to your device's local storage using Apple's SwiftData framework. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else:
- Names and avatars you create for your children
- Jobs you set up, their star values, and reminder times
- Which jobs were completed, and when
- Rewards you define, and rewards your child has redeemed
- Progress and difficulty level in each mini-game
- Your language choice and your sound and haptics settings
We have no copy of this information and no way to retrieve it. If you delete the app, this information is deleted with it. To keep it, use your device's own backup.
Reminder notifications are scheduled locally by iOS. They do not pass through any server.
3. Information that leaves your device
3.1 Remote configuration
KU Glow uses Firebase Remote Config, a service provided by Google, for a single purpose: to let us switch off an individual mini-game if we discover a serious defect in it, without waiting for an app update to be reviewed and released.
When the app checks this configuration, the request includes:

The installation identifier does not identify you or your child. It is not linked to a name, an email address, or any other identifying information, because the app never has any. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to track you across other apps or websites.
Google processes this information on our behalf as a data processor. Google's handling of it is described in the Firebase privacy documentation and the Google Privacy Policy.
3.2 What the app does not contain
KU Glow contains no analytics software of any kind, no advertising, no in-app purchases, no social or messaging features, and no user accounts. Specifically, the app does not include Google Analytics for Firebase or any comparable product; we do not measure which games are played, how long the app is used, or where the screen is tapped.
This policy and the support page can also be read inside the app, from the parents area behind Face ID. The app fetches the current version of the page from our website, and falls back to a copy included in the app when there is no connection, so the page is always available. Fetching a page sends nothing about you beyond what any web request contains, and we keep no record of it. The few links these pages contain open in Safari rather than inside the app, so the app itself cannot be used to browse the web.
4. Retention
Information on your device is kept until you delete it in the app or delete the app itself.
Google retains the Firebase installation identifier until we request its deletion, after which it is removed from live and backup systems within 180 days. It is not used to build a profile and is not combined with other information.
5. Children
KU Glow is designed to be used by young children, so we hold ourselves to a strict standard: we collect no personal information from children at all, and there is nothing in the app that a child could use to send information to us or to anyone else.
The parents area — where children, jobs, and rewards are managed — is protected by Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. Where biometrics are unavailable, it asks a two-digit arithmetic question instead.
Because we collect no personal information from children, we do not need and do not seek verifiable parental consent under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) or comparable laws.
6. Legal basis
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, our legal basis for the remote configuration request described in section 3.1 is our legitimate interest in keeping the app working correctly and in being able to withdraw a defective game promptly. No profiling and no automated decision-making about individuals takes place.
7. International transfers
The remote configuration request is served by Google's infrastructure, which may process it outside your country of residence. Google's transfer safeguards are described in its privacy policy.
8. Your rights and how to exercise them
Because we hold no personal information about you, there is usually nothing for us to disclose, correct, or erase. You can nevertheless:
- Delete everything the app stores by deleting the app from your device.
- Request deletion of the Firebase installation identifier associated with your copy of the app, by writing to us.
- Ask a question or make a complaint about how the app handles information.
Write to erturk.hanim92@gmail.com. We reply within five working days. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Changes to this policy
If a future version of KU Glow handles information differently from what is described here, we will update this page and the privacy information shown on the App Store before that version is released. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
